Medical Management Charges

Everyone participating in the TrueNorth Health Education Center's program must undergo assessment, examination, and monitoring from our medical staff. The fee for this medical package, including a discount for time of service payment, is $290. This medical package fee covers the initial intake exam, the cost of the doctors' time involved in ordering and reviewing laboratory tests, meeting with and directing the staff and interns, reviewing daily chart notes, and if needed, conducting an exit interview. The medical package for patients with complex medical problems is $385 (the additional charge is to cover the additional time needed to review and evaluate the complex medical management issues). For participants who have been examined by a medical doctor affiliated with TrueNorth Health in the previous three months, the fee for the medical package will be reduced by $95.

The medical package may be partially reimbursed to you by health insurance that allows you to select the doctor of your choice.  We bill these medical management charges separately from our program charges so that those participants with health insurance coverage may receive appropriate reimbursement.

Bloodwork and Labs: The estimated cost for bloodwork and labs is $305 and may increase or decrease depending on what you and the Doctor decide.

Daily Charges

The daily rate ranges from $139 to $329, depending on the type of room you choose and the number of people in your group. The daily rate includes:

  • All meals
  • Fasting supervision (if applicable)
  • Participation in our health education program
  • Access to our fitness classes
  • Staff support
  • Bedding, towels, and personal laundry service
  • Private phone service and personal voicemail
  • Free local and long-distance calling (within the USA)
  • High-speed internet access

Room Types

standard roomSmall Economy Private Room and Shared Bath

A very small private room is equipped with a twin size adjustable Sleep Number bed and includes an adjacent shared bathroom. Participants staying in a small private room and bath have access to a shared living room that contains a 42-inch LCD television, complete with Comcast cable and a DVD player. Small private rooms are available for $149 a night. To avoid sharing a common living room you would need to book an entire suite.

queen bedStandard Deluxe Private Room and Shared Bath

Standard Deluxe private rooms with shared bathroom are larger than our small economy rooms and have an adjacent shared bathroom and their own 37-inch, in-room LCD television and DVD player with Comcast cable. Standard Deluxe private rooms are available for $169 a night single occupancy. There is also a living room shared by each of the two or three bedrooms that make up each suite. To avoid sharing a common living room you would need to book an entire suite.

Large Deluxe Private Room and Private Bath

Large Deluxe private rooms are equipped with either a queen or king sized, dual-chamber Sleep Number bed or a queen and twin size Sleep Number beds. The deluxe private rooms are larger than our standard deluxe rooms and have a direct access private bathroom and their own 37-inch, in-room LCD television and DVD player with Comcast cable. Large Deluxe private rooms are available for $139 a night (double occupancy) or $199 (King sized bed) a night single occupancy.  There is also a living room shared by each of the two or three bedrooms that make up each suite. To avoid sharing a common living room you would need to book an entire suite.

Deluxe Suite

For those wishing to book an entire suite (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen) the fee is $179 per person (double occupancy) or $299 a night single occupancy. A 1,050 sq. foot, 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite is also available for $189 per person (double occupancy) or $329 a night single occupancy.

A 3-4 bedroom, 2-bathroom suite is $329 a night single occupancy and $199 per person (double occupancy).

Groups of 3 

Three individuals coming together may choose to share a 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom suite ($159 a night), or a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom suite ($169 a night), or a 3-4 bedroom, 2-bathroom suite ($179 a night) per person.

Participants who snore loudly must book a private suite. Health insurance, including Medicare, does NOT reimburse fees for participating in our residential health education program.

Additional Services Available

Laboratory services: Blood tests and other laboratory services are additional. Health insurance may reimburse some of the fees for laboratory tests.

Chiropractic treatment: Chiropractic treatments are available. The affiliated chiropractors utilize a variety of manipulative and physiotherapeutic procedures. The chiropractic treatment fee of $75-85 per visit may be reimbursed by health insurance that covers chiropractic care.

Psychotherapy: Psychotherapy is available from Doug Lisle, Ph.D. Dr. Lisle charges $150 per one-hour session. Health insurance may reimburse the fee for psychotherapy.

Registered Dietician: $75 per half-hour session

Fitness Instructor: $45 per half-hour session

Therapeutic massage: Therapeutic massage is available for $90 per hour. Spa services and excursions may be available at additional cost from affiliated service providers.

Facials, Body Scrubs and Waxing: $95 per hour

Non-Refundable Deposit

All participants must pay for their anticipated stay when they arrive at the Center. A final payment or refund will be calculated at the conclusion of your program. To make a reservation, a non-refundable deposit of $500 per person is required. Although deposits are non-refundable, we will provide 100% credit towards a future stay if one week's notice of cancellation is provided. A credit of 50% will be provided if less than one week's notice of cancellation is provided. No credit will be provided without 24-hour notice. We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, or Visa/Mastercard.
