Training for Doctors
The TrueNorth Health Center is recognized by the International Association of Hygienic Physicians as one of the few physician training facilities in the world for doctors of medicine, osteopathy, chiropractic and naturopathy desiring to gain experience and certification in fasting supervision. Doctors need not be licensed. The internship involves 4-24 weeks of residency at TrueNorth Health Education Center, and those meeting the required standards will be eligible for certification by the IAHP in fasting supervision. Shorter training sessions and preceptorships are also accommodated.
Intern doctors are provided room and vegan board at the Center. No tobacco, alcohol, recreational drug, or coffee use is allowed at the Center. Interns participate in all aspects of the operation of the facility including night coverage. Interns are given research-based responsibilities and ample opportunity to increase their clinical skills and, if necessary, study for board examinations. A special emphasis is placed on the use of history, physical examination and non-invasive diagnostic tools including blood and urine evaluations, EKG, etc., in evaluating fasting patients seen at the TrueNorth Health Center. No salary is provided and no fees are charged. Interns are provided 2 days and 1 night per week free of duties.
We are not able to accommodate the children or pets of interns at this time. Applicants should contact Dr. Goldhamer at (707) 586-5555.
